Some Health Benefits:

Ingredients ( makes 3 cups)
1000 ml of pure drinking water
4 lemongrass stalks
2 ginger buds (can omit if not available and replace with 2 additional lemongrass stalks)
4 inch ginger root ( less if prefer less pungent)
Slice all the ingredients finely to release the phytonutrients, fragrance and oils. You can also chop them finely or pound them.
In a stainless steel pot, boil the water.
Add all ingredients and simmer for about 15 minutes.
Turn off the flame and cover the pot. Let the tea steep for about 20-30 minutes.
Strain and add raw honey or maple syrup or rock sugar if desired.
Drink warm or can be refrigerated if preferred cold.
Note: rock sugar improves the body’s immunity and helps ward off laryngitis.
